Simple (dumb?) question about gas petal.

dude, im not laughing at you...im laughing with you! i bought the same thing and i still have it on my bench....use a mirror and you may be able to see how it pops off....i didnt get the new pin or spring with mine....make sure you have the pin and spring to reinstall it. i will be watching this thread closley....i hope someone has the same issue...i posted it here about 2 years ago and got nothing.my guess is to grind the end off the pin and pull it off...however, how would the new pin be installed? absolutly no instructions included in mine either. good luck , and please let us know how it goes.

I just did this and it was a fairly easy thing to do. I was stumped at first too, but all I did was use a small screwdriver or awl and pushed the pin in so I could remove the pedal and spring. I think the pin goes through one side of the pedal, then through the spring and out the other side of the pedal. Finally one end of the spring is slipped over the shaft coming through the firewall.

Just look it over first or sketch it and you will be fine. It's more of a pain in the neck than in the ?ss - not easy to see under there.
