Slave cylinder problem

I have a 1992 covette With six speed manual trans. Apparently slave cylinder shaft broke off and fell into housing . Is there an inspection door or any to get out without transmission removal? rks959@aol.com

There is a flywheel cover plate you can take off. You might be able to grab it through there with one of those flexable extentions with the three fingers on the end of it. I don't know what they are called. I just call them Bad little motor fingers.

Hello again rhipsher.Sorry I didn't get back sooner.Took the flywheel cover plate off but didn't have enough room. I finally had to take transmission loose and slide it back. Then I used one of those extendable magnets to get broken shaft out. I could see it when the flywheel cover was off but just wasn't quite enough room. But thanks so much for the tip anyway.I really appreciated your help. Thanks again

I question why the shaft broke. Does this happen often? or was this an after market racing type of clutch?
This makes me wonder if the shaft needs to be replaced at some interval.
