small crack in hood

I have a 1 inch raised crack near driver side front tire on hood. The crack is lifted maybe 1/32 inch.
I cant access the crack from the underside of the hood as I had hoped to draw the raised portion to level and use some type of SMS adhesive.
Would anyone have any suggestions on what I can do for this, or is this a body shop job?

Real hard to tell from those pics that it's a raised crack, not a gouge. Color and clear coat on such a visible area may well call for a competent Vette body shop, atop the proper crack repair. SMS adhesive is surely better than bondo, which too many shops would use. Bondo has no strength capability and a crack would tell me that area was stressed.

Usually these large pieces don't distort and crack for no reason. I'd worry that any crack would reoccur. As one of the largest pieces ever formed, the hood is subject to all kinds of stress in normal use, and repair may be tricky. I guess I'd try to find a Vette body shop...cuz I have no glass/smp skills.

Has the car ever had any previous repairs done to the hood?

No repairs have ever been made but the previous owner repainted the car and it was a terrible job. Previous owner had no business with a Corvette

If he had it repainted the old paint underneath may be reacting with the new paint, if it was not properly removed or prep work done correctly.
