I have a vibration when down****fting 4-3 3-2 2-1.....when I am letting out the clutch I have a solid vibration it seems until the clutch engages the flywheel all the way. then once the pedal is released all the way the vibration stops until I go from 3-2 and the 2-1.......I put a new snubber bushing in and the vibration almost feels like the "duckbill" is bouncing......I have tightened the bushing several times and it seems like it would be changing the pinion angle.......any thoughts?

Did you change both pinion bushings? My car does the same thing on upshifts.Im on vacation in a couple of weeks and I think that might be my project.(along with the door control that broke when i put my new handles o n)

Rear end is new.....ujoint in half shaft, drive shaft are new....trans rebuilt (M20) new clutch (RAM Powergrip) Flywheel machined and balanced with engine and crank....It only vibrates when I downshift....not while driving its smooth from 35 to 95......the vibrations comes in when Im jsut releasing the pedal and then when I get to what feels like 50 to 60% of the pedal released the vibration disapppears.....Is this a clutch issue??

Thanks

If the snubber bushings are good and the through-bolt is tight, check the transmission mount cushion for internal separation; frequent cause of clutch chatter.
