I was going to post this for the general population to see but I couldn't find good spot so I'll keep it among us C4 folks and who else might drop in.

So do how many of you get a big stupid grin going when you are driving your car? I do. I get real bad when I watch my own videos I made.

Its really bad for me, heck, I get a big stupid grin just talking about my car to the guys at work and such. I get a big stupid grin just thinking about my car and watching Corvette videos on Youtube and Vettetube. I know its bad.

Whoever called it Corvette Fever is right, and whomever said its not a passion its an obsession is right too. Spring cannot come soon enough...

By the way I never just "wave" it is either the WAHOO!!! Wave or the way cool two finger flip.

Yeah every time I see the car, whether its walking away from it and glancing back to make sure the lights are off, or walking toward it after watching a movie or making a store run, seeing it still excites me.... I wave, whether the other driver sees me or not.... I guess I am also lucky cause there are not many Ruby's in my area, and the Torq Thrust Ms make mine just a little more unique... Of course being in Alabama, I get to drive it year round....

I have to agree :L I love my vette, its resale value or mileage is never a concern because I will NEVER sell her! I will just buy another one sometime, hopefully a C5 ZO6! :thumb

I have lost many nights sleep just thinking about my babies. The night before a car show is the worst. I get no sleep at all. I check on them all the time and I have even had my friends drive them up and down the street while I stand in the driveway and watch them go by, and when I see one of them coming at me my heart skipps a beat. Yep, I am completely obsessed. And I do wave at all other vettes whenever I see one. :v

I'm all for the "Big Stupid Grin".
That's pretty much my normal expression.

:v Gotta agree with all the above... Permagrim is a major issue in our home. Can't walk through the garage without grinning like some idiot... Oh well, I guess it's better than Valium!!

Well I just dropped in and I now own a C5 and C6, but loved my 94 vert so much that I keep a picture of it on one computer as the desktop wallpaper. I have had the Corvette Fever since 1960, so the grin (it;s not stupid, it is actually a badge of honor) on my face for a long long time. I wave all the time, and visit the parked ones. I have been known to wait for 30 minutes or so for the owner to come back to the corvette. Except for one instance, the conversations are cordial. The one time the guy was "gruff" but his wife was very pleasant.

Wow I'm glad to see this post. I was starting to think I was losing my mind. I look at my car and I am in awe of her. I look around to make sure nobody has seen the crazy look on my face hahahaha. I enjoy just standing and looking at the car and wow I will be honest, it's not uncommon for me to just go out and sit in the drivers seat and enjoy. Don't even need my keys, just a few moments it's just me and my baby.

And your forced to lie when your spouse asks "do you love that car more than me?" Or "I think you like that car more than me" .Or you should have married your car .

Actually my wife is pretty understanding. (most of the time):D

The more I drive my Corvette, the more I love it.

I just bought a Mustang GT too. I know, I know...Ford. But guess what, I still prefer the Vette! She's so sexy. Handles better too.

You bought a found on road dead?? Sorry :) Just kidding, Mustangs are way cool :cool

Yep sure do--even though I guess I'm not always aware of it. My wife has said many times "you had fun driving home today didn't you??"----my answer "Well---yeah--why do you ask that?"----"because I could tell by that silly grin on your face." :D

I love Musclecars. The Mustang is THE iconic Musclecar of the decade thanks to GM abandoning the Camaro.

But yeah. 20 years older and yet the Corvette still handles better and didn't give up any acceleration either! :thumb
