I just, after much soul searching sold my beloved 81 to a gentleman from out of state.

I just bought a 2000 one owner c-5 44k 6-speed torch red, targa coupe all options,Billy Boat exhaust and z06 style corvette rims. Pick it up on Friday.( I can blame Guy and Remo for this;LOL)

Anyway,I will miss the old 81,and feel good that she is going to a good home, out in Arizona.

This is a great forum, and i still will lurk and occasionally post on the L81 forum, but will probably spend a bit more time on the c-5 forum.

Our 81.s are great and unique vettes, and I will always have a fond place inside for my 81:cry

:eek :cry

Ken I understand, but it don't make it any easier :cry

I've toyed with the idea of selling RARE, but I refuse to give her away and most offers are more like insults that reality :dance

I doubt when it came right down to turning the keys over to someone I don't know if I could do it or not :ugh Me and RARE have been together longer than any other Corvette I've ever owned, and we've been through some tough times getting her where she is at today.

So long as she doesn't mind being up on the pedestal in her own shop and fires up every-so-often and still brings the tickle up my leg :chuckle I doubt we will ever part... Just something about a 4-Speed with Flowmaster Exhaust :lou :Steer

Glad to hear your '81 went to a GOOD home :thumb

If you didn't ... please be sure to contact the Registry and let the new owner know about the Registry so He/She can get the information changed over :dance :Steer

Congrats on the 2K :thumb

Many thanks Bill, it WAS a tough decision, and i really think reality will set in when it goes on the truck tommorrow for Phoenix.

I will have it at Carlisle next year, parked with the gang (hopefully)
