what is the best way to clean up the blued (heated) look of the chrome headers. I have used some mild polishing compounds that have little to no effect. Thanks

Replace them with Sanderson Headers. (That's what I did).Once they blue up I don't know of any way to return them to the chrome look short of re-chrome.

Give 'em to me... I like blue :)

Try a motorcycle shop for some of their products used for blue pipes .

why don't you look into getting them ceramic coated. That would keep them looking good for a long time.

Header Blues!

Once Chrome pipes change colors, there is very little you can do about it. Short of having 'em re-plated; only to have 'em change color again, like the other post said, look into having 'em ceramic or powdered coated. I had chrome ones on my vette & after just about all of the chrome burned off; it happens; I sent mine to HPC (High Performance Coatings) in Oklahoma City, OK & they came back looking a He** of alot better than they did when I sent 'em. If you do decide to go the coating route, make sure that you have 'em done inside/outside. They'll look great for along time & will be easier to take care of & maintain. Just my 2 pennies worth. Good luck!
