Somebody lookin' out for me

My power window quit on my '96, won't go up. No warning, just won't go up. Any ideas as to where to begin searching out the problem? The good news? It was after I put her in the garage for the night, not in some strange place. The bad news? I don't want to drive it for fear of the sudden rains we get in the spring. HELP!!
