What a waste of a great car.. $100k ?? C'mon.. How much would one have to spend on making it driveable ? People.. :eyerole

One never knows if its a legitimate bid since its under the reserve price.

However, being that a regular Grand National auctioned off at Barret-Jackson
for 322 1987 BUICK REGAL GRAND NATIONAL COUPE$34,560.00
there were 2 others that sold for less so I would think this one was pristine.

I am not surprised by the asking price. I know that a GNX with under 10K you can't touch for under $60k. A real virgin one, who knows. It only takes someone willing to pay.

Luigi. Quit doing this to me.:confused I had just convinced myself that I had too many cars and the 87 plain jane T-Type was going to be sold this spring. I know from experience that the mint ones always pull up the rest of the market. Now I'm wondering if I should just keep it?? Ike

Ahhh! Fellow TR fans.

#547 has reportedly exchanged hands for $150K!!!

I will probably hold on to mine for another year then let it go.

This one is a clone at 30K with reserve not met.

Still a nice low mileage GN but in the same price range as a Callaway TT of the same era. These cars will always hold their value if well maintained and in nice condition.

I agree w/ that - If nice, low mile GN's are going for 30's, then I suspect a Callaway would always be worth that ( ...and more)

Also, there is a GNX, new in the wrapper w/ plastic on the seats, etc still - It has 5 or 6 miles and may be for sale as well :confused

would that hold more value, being the last one??

I know some collectors are into stats like that ;)

Without a doubt that would be the reason the price is so high. Plus it has never been driven.

I have seen more Ebay scams with the 87 GNX than any other car! They usually don't last 24 hours onliine!!!!
