Sound clip of a SuperNatural 400?

Does anyone have a sound clip of a SuperNatural 400 at idle and at moderate driving speed?

Curious, but with the "stock" SuperNatural exhaust? Or with the SN tubular headers? Or that and their full SN exhaust? I imagine the exhaust configuration will make more sound difference than 400 vs 435 vs 450.

Though you may have to take what you can get :) :beer

You bet. Plus other options like Callaway handmade headers and speedster exhaust. I think the exhaust on my SuperNatural is THE main part of my driving pleasure. I simply love the speedster exhaust with twin mufflers.

If you ever come over to the Southlake/Keller area I'll take you for a spin or you can drive it yourself and capture whatever audio/video you need.

I'll take any sound clip I can get :), just please identify what optional parts your car has. I'd prefer to hear some clips from cars that don't have gutted cats, cut outs, etc. Unless of course... that's the way Callaway made your car.

It'd also be good if the engine was LT1 or LT4 based, not LS1/2/6/7.

:) That's a very generous offer, thanks, I may take you up on that sometime I'm in the west of Fort Worth area. What do you have? A SNAT 400?

Mine started out as a SNAT400 in '92 then went back to Callaway in '96 to get the 435 package which put down 456hp. My exhaust is all Callaway Stock. From the handmade headers to the DD speedster exhaust tips.

Very cool. :)

Hey, this is off topic, but did you keep in contact with the C16 owner in Dallas? I'm wondering if he plans on showing the car at any local car shows. It'd be nice to see sometime.

I think the owner of that car will stay low key. I wouldn't expect him to be showing that car any time soon. My personal guess is that C16 will be for sale in 12-18months. That car is #5 and with the color option and CALLAWAY logo down low, it won't be hard to identify when it does come up for sale.

That's disappointing; if I was the owner of it, I'd want to show it off and let the world see it.

Does the dash plaque say #5, or is that just what they told you?

The plaque in the silver and blue cabrio C16 says it's number 5 :confused

...and thus... I have completely changed the subject of my own topic LOL :L

I was not able to get a picture of the dash plaque. The number 5 came from Mike Vendetto from Callaway Cars who was there to personally hand deliver the car to the new owner. Could have been a mistake.

Perhaps it is Speedster #5, and C16 # >5 ? Just a guess...

Nah, this isn't one of the Speedsters, this is the convertible that was at the NY Auto Show. The only convertible we've really seen on the internet a lot.

I should have my car back this weekend - if so, I will get you a sound clip of my SNAT 425 six-speed.
Where was the car? Also, if you need any help, I'd be glad to drive the car while you hold the camera... :ohnoes

No need for anything adventurous, daring, or even professional. Just a simple video of how the car sounds at the exhaust while idling would suffice for me. Maybe pop the hood and show what it sounds like in there at idle.

Having never heard a SNAT LT1, I'm not sure how aggressive they sound, or how subdued they sound.

I guess I'm also interested in how they sound when you're driving through a neighborhood at 30 mph for the purposes of the soundclip/video. The sound you'd hear sitting in the seat, with the windows rolled up, the A/C turned off, no radio on, and just going for a 30 mph cruise. :cool

I'm curious how easy it is to live with a SNAT if you're driving it as more than just a weekend toy.

Bob, I may take you up on that offer, thanks:beer (Car is in Connecticut right now ;) )

The car was used by a Houston Oilman for his daily driver for the first 50k mi. I have driven it a bit more since rescuing it from the Lone Star State ;LOL

Thanks Chris, I appreciate it!
