My car has lost several of the large torqx head screws that go in the wheelwell liners and then into the body panels. There are three on them on the rear side of the front wheelwells, and then one each on the rear side of the rear wheelwells. I guess I can just put a bolt in there, but would like to get ones that match....black finish...torqx head.

Anyone know a source besides my GM dealer??

Thanks,

Does your GM dealer carrry them?

So many parts for the 90 have been discontinued that you kind of develop "parts flinch."

I am not really sure about this but I suspect that these fasteners are not specific just to Corvettes. Maybe you could talk a walk through your local salvage yard and look for them on Camaros, Firebirds, or other GM cars.
You could also try a Corvette salvage like vette2vette.com and Contemporarycorvette.

Lanny,
I’ve bought a few hard to find OEM parts from Taber Corvette Parts, they sell new and used Corvette parts. They’re located in Chandler, Indiana. The parts arrived were in very good condition and packed securely.

I had to buy some from a salvage yard about a year ago. Pricey to send a guy out to just get some screws. I might have some left over in the garage, how many would you need? and I'll take a look to see if I can find them.

there are many sources of New Old Stock NOS parts out and about.

Have you tried GM Partsdirect ?

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/

Their list prices are the actual dealers cost, and they make their profit on the handling/shipping so go to the check out to see if it is cheaper through them or another source.
Art Corvette parts has a lot of NOS parts. http://www.artscorvetteparts.com/checkout.aspx

I'm also missing a couple for my Grand Sport. Thanks, everyone, for the tips on where to find them. Hmmm...maybe I'll let Lanny do all the legwork and then tell me where to go to get them!;)

I thought about calling-up the Corvette salvage yards...but like was said...probably quite expensive to have a guy go out and get these screws, box them up and ship them. Probably the same as buying them from GM.

And yes I have priced-out the screws at gmpartsdirect.com....again..bit expensive for what they are.

What I might do though is to buy 100 of them, and then recoup some of the costs by re-selling them to other C4 owners that have lost a couple. They only come in packages of 10 at $1.10 each plus the shipping/handling charge. Anyone want to go in with me on this? I am not out to make any money...not at all...just try to reduce their cost down to something more reasonable.

Let me know.

Lanny,

I'll take a package of 10!

Gene,
I only need two of them. Let me know before I just order several bags of them and be done with it.
