Hi Guys, MY 64 Roadster has no spare or spare tire carrier setup. I'm going to Carlisle on the weekend and wonder just what to look for. There is little info on specific years so are all mid-year tire carriers the same ? My car has 15" radials-75 series, will they fit or not? I've heard in conversation years ago that 75 series would not fit but my memory may be faulty yet again. Anyway any info on the spare tire carrier clam shell and pricing would be helpful. Also, would I be better buying from Corvette Central ?

Thanks in advance :confused

An original setup is likely to be pretty pricey; in addition, the original upper tub won't accommodate a 205/75-15 radial tire. The reproductions are quite well done, and the reproduction upper tub is slightly larger in diameter than the original, and it WILL accept a 205/75-15 radial. I have a repro upper tub and an original lower tray on mine, and the 205 radial on a 6" bolt-on aluminum wheel fits fine with the "long" front hanger bolts and the standard rear hanger bolt.
