hi..just getting my spare tire tub back on and have a 15x5 1/2" rim for the spare...anyone know what size tire i should put on it?...i have some 15x7's with 205/75/15 tires on but they won't come close to fitting and being to put the cover on...thanks for any info

I think a 185/75 or 195/75 is about the largest radial that will fit in the original tub (the repro tub will accept a 205/75 on a 6" rim, as it's a little larger in diameter and a little deeper). If you go with a smaller diameter spare and have a rear flat, put the spare on the front and put a front on the rear so you don't burn up your Posi clutches.

For my 65 coupe, I have a 195/75X15 as a spare tire, on a stock steel wheel. It was the largest tire that would fit.

i have a 5 1/2 inch by 15 rim...i'd sure think the tub size is the same for a convertible as for a coupe...now to find a tire...thanks
