Which plug should i use and what gap for my 98 stock. Did some checking and there are different part # now listed with a different gap than original for my car.

41-931 gap .60 original
41-110 gap .40 new part

There should be a sticker somewhere under the hood that should tell you
I would go by what the OEM has stated....it was built for that.imo

Hi there,

The revised spark plugs are 41-110 and they are PREGAPPED AND SHOULD NOT BE CHANGED.

Your 98 has had multiple spark plug design changes and also should have the PCM upgraded with the latest calibration from GM to optimize the spark plug change.

Allthebest, c4c5

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE ON THIS. DID NOT THINK THAT CHANGING SPARK PLUGS WOULD REQUIRE A PCM CHANGE.:ugh

What model years does this cover?

HI there,

Your mistaken. It does not require the PCM to be changed at all.

Simply in order to get the maximum out of the spark plug change, it is suggested to have the programming updated.

Who's mistaken>

What does the update do for the PCM?
