I agree with vette-dude - the amplifier has gone bad.
You can disconnect the offending speaker or both rear speakers as an interim before replacing or repairing them.
If one is bad, others may be going bad also. I'd suggest replacing/repairing all 4.

When my first one went bad, the rear speaker make a very loud pop like a back fire or gun shot right inside my car - got my attention. Then it started making a lot of very loud noises. Turned out that water got to it and ruined the board. I ended up replacing it. Then a few months later, a second one went bad - it was repairable though. I ended up having all four fixed or replaced over a 2 year period.[/ O.K, I'm gonna unhook the speaker and maybe take it out.How much trouble will this be to do ?Thanks.
