Speedo gear diagram

Does anyone know where I might get an exploded view drawing of a speedo gear. I need to replace one in a 74 corvette. I am not sure what I need for the repair. A drawing would be very helpful. Is it just a gear that slips into tranny and then turns a gear on the speedo cable? this is a manual 4sp.

I see that there are different teeth options, but are there different size options?

First, is the tail shaft speedo gear nylon or steel?

It is a 74 4sp. I don't what was there originally, because when I got it, it had been removed.

If memory serves, these gears are identified by color and are based upon transmission type and rear end ratio. You could try a Google search, or contact customer services at your favorite Corvette aftermarket parts provider, telll them what you have, and let them tell you what you need.
