Help! Sport Seat Lumbar & Bolster control

Hi all,

The lumbar & side bolster stopped working on my 2000 convertible with sport seats. The passenger side works fine. Fuses are OK. The motor makes no noise when the switches are pressed. I read this thread: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com...5345-sport-seats-lumbar-support-bolsters.html
and pulled the seat pump out of the bag to check it out.

When I put my VOM on the leads and press the switches, I get no reading. Should it not read some voltage? I have not tried to power the motor with a 12 volt power source as I am not sure that will not blow the motor if the problem is in the power supply. Does anyone know if that is a way to check the motor? (;) c4c5 specialist are you out there?). Is the next place to look in the control on the side of the seat? Is there some place that could have gotten wet & caused this?

I would take it to a local Chevy dealer, but I have never had a repair on any of my corvettes performed correctly at any of the 6 local dealers I have tried. (The last one could not even fill the tires to the correct pressure & it is written right on the car!!). So I have resorted to trying to figure this out on my own this winter.

As always, this is the greatest forum out there and you are all the best.

Thanks in advance,

Bruce
