I recently purchased a 99 GLS Alero. It has the 3.4 in it and sometimes on startups the idle will stumble then it stalls. I have only noticed this when it has been somewhat warm. It will do this until you start it and give it some throttle then it continues to run. I have not tried just starting it and let it stall, but it did the same three times in a row, until I gave it gas.
It has been doing this since a few days after I purchased it, that I noticed it. Since then I have put a K&N air filter, new ACDelco platinum plugs, and Duralast plug wires. I have run a bottle of Chevron with Techron fuel additive with a tank of 89 octane fuel, and I am on the second tank of fuel with 89 octane.
I am not sure as what it is. I degressed the engine, but can't remember if it was doing it before I did this or not. It runs great once it is running, and does not miss at WOT. Any suggestions?
