Does anyone know anything about steel shim head gaskets and whether they should be spray coated with copper sealant or heat resistant aluminium spray? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Thanks for any help.

PS: I need to use steel shim cause they are thin and will help maintain my original compression ratio. Yes I have done the math. ;)

spray or not!

High tack red will work just fine if your going to spray them. :upthumbs
As you have said, you did your math. Thats all I did to mine and it didn`t hurt a bit, but even gave the satisfaction doing all I could do. We use the same stuff on our fuel engines {Nitro} with aluminum heads and copper gaskets.:cool Keep that ratio up there.;LOL
