I'm preparing to dye my complete interior in the next few days. I've read up on the general prep etc. for vinyl and plastic parts but I haven't seen any mention of suggestions and/or experience with painting the steering column. Does anyone have some advice?

Also the door panels have a carpet inlay stiched into them. What is the best method for colour changing the carpeted portion?

I'm going from a light beige (Doe skin) to Camel. For the job I purchased Corvette America's interior dye.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

I used the same interior "dye" on my column and it worked / looked WAY better than I expected. Been almost 2 years now and it still looks like the day I sprayed it.

It is just paint, after all.

Thanks pws69,

Can you tell me how you prepped the surface? Did you use a primer or the plastic prep for the dye?

Thanks again,

Steve
