I Just Replaced Every Component In My Steering From The Steering Box Upwards. After The Job Was Completed, I Still Have Some Side To Side Play In My Steering Wheel. It Appears To Be Caused By The Upper Bearing Fit To The Steering Shaft (not A Close Fit) The Uppper Bearing Is Part Of The Signal Light Switch Assembly. Does Anyone Have Experience With This?

Paragon and LICS both sell just the bearing separately for about twelve bucks (it's also included if you buy a new turn signal switch).

You've also got to have the preload clamp and spring on the lower part of the column set properly to insure the upper bearing stays fully seated, have you checked this?

I Installed A New Preload Clamp And Spring But I Need To Know How I Should Set Them. Can You Advise?

Yep, at least on my '65, don't know why yours would be any different. Compress the spring with a 0.010 to 0.020 inch shim between two of the coils on the spring. Tighten the clamp and remove the shim. Should do it for you!!
