I am finishing up a 74 interior resto and cant get the horn to stop blarring.Anyone got any tips ?It is on even before I install the wheel.I install everything per aim and NOTHING. :confused

You have to put some washers between the mount and the horn bezel assembly.

I had the same problem.

The horn works by "completing the ground circuit". When you push the button, that's what you're doing. I think you might have a bare or pinched wire in the column, thus achieving ground and causing the horn to blow even without the wheel on the column. Chuck

Actually the problem was that I couldnt get it to shut off.Its a t&t and the big spring was grounding out on the bottom plate that the contacts poke through.I fixed that problem then asembled everything to find out that the contact button needs to be replaced ( its held to gether with body push in clips:crazy )I tried the washer trick but then it wouldnt work at all,my only guess with that was that they were plated washers.Anyway I think I gonna order a new contact. Thanks for the help.:w
