Steering Wheel Tilt Lever

Anyone have their steering wheel tilt lever go out. Mine had been working fine then all of the sudden it doesn't have any tention to it. The wheel is locked in the upmost postion. It feels like your driven a van. Any ideas as to what might have broke?

sometimes they get stuck in the up position if you just let it slam to the up position. try a little extra muscle when pulling down and playing with the tilt lever it may free up just my 2 cents Steve
