Ken,

As you may remember, I've put the richmond 6-speed in back in July and it's running great. But now that it's gotten cold here in Michigan (it was about 20F this morning), the shifter is VERY stiff when it's cold. Take about 10 minutes to loosen up a bit.

Is this stiffness coming from the tranmission itself, or from the shifter? Any recommendations as to the solution? Different lube? Thanks.

You might want to go with a lighter weight lube, but I'd check with Richmond first. The stiffness is surely due to the cold lubricant, and not the shifter or the transmission. It's not unusual for you to experience the stiffness I'm sure, and Richmond even warns you that it will be a bit tight until it warms up, don't they?

Good luck and keep us informed.
