Just got a 2001 Coupe (QuickSilver, M4) low miles and I'm discovering it has some mods. I found the K&N filter (replacement for stock), the FlowMaster mufflers and just today I discovered it has the chip mod that keeps the fans (or maybe just one fan) on all the time to let it run cooler. Now I'm wondering what other mods the 2 previous owners have done. (It runs VERY well! Plan to GTech it as soon as the weather allows).
I was wondering if it had been lowered so I measured mine and two other stock C5s in the company parking lot yesterday, mine's the same as theirs.

How do I tell if it has stock shocks? I've looked and can't even find them! What about the exhaust? What does stock look like? I assume I'll have to put it up on a lift to see all that.
Thanks for the help...
Dave

Hi DocOhm

The stock shocks are black and in the usual location. They don't have any markings on them that I can remember.

The stock exhaust should have black painted mufflers with chrome spot-welded tips (four tips). The tips are eggagerated ovals.

If you have flowmasters, then it is not stock.

Congrats on the new car.

best regards -
