Storage Bins

I have a 89 roadster that does not have storage bins behind the seats on the deck. My question is are they there and just coved by carpet and not finished or were they not put in the 89 ???

Storage bins ?

My '89 roadster has the speakers in the "deck", two square grilles about 8" around each.
Is this where you mean ?
BTW I have the Bose system.
I wish I did have some storage bins someplace.
