Strange "Noise"??

Lately, before I start the Vette, I turn the key just to the on position. Along with the sounds that I'm familiar with when this is done, I here a clicking "noise" coming from what appears to be the rear of the vehicle?Can anyone tell me what this might be? Is it a normal "noise" that I just haven't noticed before or what? Thankyou in advance.

Could be one of two things.

1. The fuel pump will turn on for two seconds, then off.

2. Could be your antenna raising.

Florida Guy is on to something. I think your antenna IS NOT rising because the nylon drive strap is toast.

But guys, the radio is intentionally left OFF. I am more inclined to believe
it could be the FUEL PUMP as suggested by a forum member. I am
experiencing long starts. It has been suggested also that I could have
LEAKING INJECTORS, which I haven't looked into yet. THANKS for the
concern and your replies.

If the car's not in motion when this happens then I'd say fuel pump; if it's in motion then I might also suggest that it could be the ABS performing its' self-check.

Where is the FUEL PUMP located. Would this be a relatively medium to hard
fix? Thanks for your reply.

The fuel pump is in the tank,it's relatively easy to change!!
