Strange observation

OK, here's the situation. I'm driving down I-75, running about 70-80, all of a sudden, I get this vibration like the engine's missing. I push in the clutch to see if the surging goes away. No, it keeps the same frequency. Thinking , "it's a low tire or flat" I pull over to the next exit, check the pressure and it's perfect. Engine is idling perfectly. I get back out on the expressway and catch my running mate, and the darn thing rins great for the next 100 miles.

This ids the second time I've had this happen on a long trip. What would cause this strange occurance? Any suggentions?

Hi there,
I would suggest, that you may have a binding universal joint, which is coming and going.
I would suggest that you have all six joints checked for binding.
