I did a search and couldn't find any current information on the problem of the clutch pedal sticking after pressing to the floor - i.e., won't come back up. Anyone know if a TSB has been put out? I didn't see one on this site. I'd hate to have to rely on a local stealer to tell me what is wrong.

Thanks.

Try checking the fluid in the Master cylinder for the clutch!! It's the small one by the Brake Master Cylinder,it's probly low from clutch ware!! Top off and check for leaks!! They don't hold much and should be toped off every service!! But nobody dose service right anymore, unless you do it your self!!:upthumbs

Thanks gmjunkie. You're right about service anymore. I checked the fluid and it seemed fine, except there is black residue-type stuff at the top by the cap. Maybe I need to flush everything out.

Hi there,
We would need to know more information about the situations in which it occurs.
There is a preliminary information document about a sticking clutch, but its only under certain conditions.
Engine RPM, load, mileage and driving style all interrelate with this.

The clutch sticks almost all the way to the floor at least once every couple of days. Mostly happens when I'm waiting for a light to turn green. As I lift my foot, the pedal will come up slightly and the car will move off the line, but I have to actually put my foot under the pedal and "pop" it the rest of the way up. The car only has 40k on the clock and the clutch functions perfectly other than that.

Thanks C4C5. This helps more than you may know. Gives me a starting point to research.:)
