Stupid GM badges stick up a good car!

If you heard the news then you know what i'm talking about. In the July 2005 copy of Car and Driver on page 32 it has a news short about GM badges. These badges will (as GM think could happen) inform the buyer that the car they are going to buy is made by GM. These badges (in my view) look bad! Look again at the Oct. 2005 C/D. See every side pic. they have of the ZO6 Vette. What do you see? Those stuipd badges! Even the pull out ad shows it to you! What is next? Is it that GM is going to stick a chip on your head to make sure that you have thier car?

Pretty sure the first mod many will be doing is removing the badges from their new Z06's...

Fuuuuuuugly, especially on a new Z06. I think that will be a first mod for many owners. Lets just hope it's held on just by double sided tape, and there aren't any holes behind it!!!!

Maybe in 35-45 years... only on the Bloomington Gold show field. If you are concerned about having them for future show or sale, stop by the Chevy parts department, buy a set, then kiss ’em and put ’em away.

Of course... they coud always just create a car by GM

Not give it any of the Chevy, Pontiac, GMC, or any other badging... just GM.


There are also these two pictures I have found of the Corvette with the badging. Not really noticible. I'll have to see it in person.

You don't own a Corvette and you are worried about a new emblem placed on all GM cars, including the Corvette?

When you get your Corvette, removed the GM emblem and don't worry so much about things you can not change.
