Hello guys, after reading this forum for a few weeks I decided to join and ask a few quesitions. I'm only 15 (yes could be a shocker to some) But I do know just a little about Vettes :) Every since I was a little kid I've been spoiled with the Vette heritage, Dad bought me an 82 when I was born in 88. My father has been a car dealer for over 30 years and his main cars were always Vette's, he drove in the 60's of course, new 65-67 Vettes. The one car I loved, a 69 Marina Blue 427/435 car we ended up getting a pretty good dollar for. We've had several C-4's through the years, mostly vertibles. I've been obsessed with Vettes, Callaways, and Lingenfelters since I was 5, when I had a Hotwheel I remember, It was I believe a 92 Super Speedster Callaway, Orange with hot pink interior, and after then Vettes are the cars that I love. I know I'm rambling, just wanted to tell you guys where I come from. Now to my point :) 89*2, and other Cal-owners, could you give me a ballpark on what it costs to have a LT-1 made to SNAT specs? Just the motor, no aerobody. I believe the Aero Kit is around 10k painted to factory specs? What is a kit un-painted and un-installed (if it can be done) going to cost me? I've been looking, and I figure I can get either a TT 87-88 for the low 20's, as well as maybe a low 90's SNAT. But, I could buy a Vette and have Callaway do it if they still do and if its affordable enough. Thought about turning my Maro' into a C-8, but its just not my car. I would end up sellin my 57 Chevy, The Camaro, and a few other cars I own, but yes I know I'm young and its sort of a first car, but, you only live once :) Thanks for your help guys, Look foward to reading more.

Trev, the engine would probably set you back AT least 15 grand... I think it was about 12 grand or so during the end of the C4 run - Mike Vendetto ( mvendetto@callawaycars.com ) would be able to pin point a price for you BUT... there is a 93 Supernatural (number 5, I think) that has come to market... His asking price is $23k :eek a darn good place to be :upthumbs Click here for the ad...

The Aerobody package is $8k uninstalled - figure on at least double that to properly fit and repaint the car to original specs :eek

Yes, you are in the ballpark with that, You have been doing your homework on these ;)
Again, You would have to check with Mike Vendetto about availability on the products...

Trev - Keep on asking away, your enthusiasum is more than welcome here :upthumbs

Thanks a bunch 89*2, I've been looking around. I actually saw that car you mentioned for sale first on Ebay, and then on here, looks like its in pretty good shape(as far as you can see with a camera.) The only problem I would have with the pre 90 Twin Turbos would be the un-updated interior with the original 84 dash....body looks don't bother me as much as I do like the round taillights. I figured about that much on motor- 10 to 15 is what I was thinking, but when I really get serious I'll check it out. It wouldn't be a problem if I got the Body, and needed to have it hung and painted, I know a pretty good painter who paints exotics and such. Thanks again...BTW, wouldn't want to sell that 89 B2K would ya? :)
