Summit X or H pipe

Has anyone ever used the summit h or x pipe on their vette. How did it fit and are an h or x pipe worth it.

The Summit H Pipe works great; and you can't beat the price. My best friend installed one on his 79, and I installed one in my Camaro (http://picasaweb.google.com/1fine69/CamaroCheckUp).

Someday I'll install one on my Vette - it should help reduce the pops resulting from the chambered exhaust, as it did with the Camaro.

Good Luck.

I've used X pipes on a number of cars, they clean up the sound most people don't like (to much burble, popping). They can also quite the car a somewhat. I run one on the LS6 Cadillac with stainless Magnaflows, it sounds fantastic. I don't have one on my Vette currently, I like it sounds currently without one.

how do you like the chambered exhaust and is it from mid america or allens. Im either going to build a 2.5 in mandrel bend system using my dynomax super turbos or go with the chambered system.

The Vette has the 2.5" Mid-America system. For the Camaro, I purchased the chambered tubes, and H-pipe separately, and had the exhaust system custom made. I like both systems.

Click on the link in my signature (below) to hear a clip of my exhaust...
