In my C5, for whatever reason, there is a lighted mirror on the sun visor on the driver's side. This mirror is normally covered by a flip-cover. When the flip cover is opened, the lights come on. I did not even know this thing was there until I got my laundry the other day and reached up there for my claim tags.

At that time, I also noticed that the cover had broken off, and now the lights on the mirror are permenently on, even when I turn off the car. This will not be good on my battery.

Chevrolet, at least from what the parts guys have told me, does not sell the cover by itself. Rather, you need to buy the whole visor, which is freak'n $75.00!!!

Do any of you know how to get just the cover for this mirror?

Thanks in advance...

Greg

HI there,
Unfortunately, they are right, you cannot get it separately.
Just remember, that your retained accesory power will shut down the light, which creates a load that the body control module sees.
So, its not as bad as you may think.
All the best, c4c5:hb
