Most people are not aware of the fact that it is almost impossible for those of us who live in Canada to purchase bonding adhesive from any of the US suppliers because of the product's classification.
It is considered Hazmat, or hazardous material, and as such, none of the normal shippers will handle it, nor will the Corvette resellers offer to ship us any product. That being said, in the past the only option we had to obtain any product, was to have it delivered to any of the shows we attended, so that it could be picked up and hauled back across the border.
Normally this would not be too much of a problem, but it has become one because of the shelf life. The instruction on the product recommend that it has a one year shelf life, and that it should be used once opened. The most popular brand I have seen in the past, is made by a US firm by the name of " Axson " and they have a good assortment of different products.
I have always used their APF 7, because of it's black colour, but in time I have come to realize that they have another product, the APF 4, that is much better for the Corvette repair man, in all of us. The reason is because of it's zero shrinkage, and from the spec's of the supplier, it is much better suited for " bonding " rather then the APF 7, which is usually sold for moulding, or mold repair. I was told that the only reason the APF 7 was more popular with the Corvette crowd, was because of it's black colour.
A link to the manufacturer " Axon " for any technical details can be found at the following

For Canadians, an excellent supplier on this side of the border can be found at the following. Their site can be viewed in French, or in English
