Hi All,
I am considering giving autocross, driving schools, and track days a try. I have a few questions in regards to the suspension. I have a 99 6 speed coupe with the standard (FE1) suspension. I think I would like to upgrade the suspension to the F51 or FE4 (Z06) suspension. What all would I need to purchase (sway bars, shocks, etc.) to make this upgrade? How much would this cost and where should I look to get the parts?
Second part of my question is will this upgrade allow me to stay in the stock class (SS) in Solo II? I would assume that it would considering that these were factory options? Also are there any other type shocks that you autoxers would recommend? I believe, if I am understanding the rules correctly, that you can change shocks in the stock class as long as they are no more than 2-way adjustable. Is this correct?
Lastly since I am a beginner should I even bother with this or just take my car out as it is now and then make these changes later when my driving skills improve.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
Mods please feel free to move this thread to the motorsports section if you feel it is more appropriate in that forum. I just thought it may get a few more looks in this forum after it falls off the front page.
