Fire trap

OMG!! That thing is horrific! Between the fuel line and the obvious wiring issues, that thing is ready to go up in smoke.:ugh

How can anyone bother to spend time doing something if it's done poorly? :crazy That car is a POS.

Thanks for sharing, though. Always interesting to see others "work".:W

Kind of like watching 'Jerry Springer'. I always feel SO much better, knowing I'm not nearly as dysfunctional as some people. :)

Hahahah. evern worst it's up to 19 bits now. lol.

I got to say. that's one of the ugliest corvette I've ever seen. my opinion. If I would be rich, I would buy it just to put it out of it's misery. lol

Just to clarify.....

the last bid, charly2875....IS NOT ME!

;LOL

That's cause It's not a Corvette, it's an Opel GT. Looks like somebody got partway through a street rod project and ran out of money.

Could be fun to complete if it's structurally sound.

I am glad you straightened that out,

In it’s time the Opel GT was not a bad looking ride and often referred to as a “Poor Man’s Corvette.”

There was an Opel GT with a blown smallblock that often ran at MIR in Maryland a few years ago. That car was a real hand full with the short wheelbase but turned the 1/4 in the high 8's. The GT is very hard to find today and as bad as this car looks it would be an awesome track car if someone bought it and made it right.

Exactly.. Why get something like this when you can have the real thing, A Corvette ? Maybe as a rat drag-project thing, but i guess to each their own.. ;shrug

Sorry never cared for the GT's, there were plenty when i lived in Germany and everyone asked me why i wanted a Vette when i could get a GT. :eyerole

To me this looks like a "Poor Man's Opel GT"!

One of my high school teachers had one of these-it was green. Not bad to look at back then, but I got a chance to ride in it once and it was a rat.

I think the battery said it all.......ECONOMY!

The owner said he would consider trades.....what do you trade for that???

They used to call them Mini Vettes. Those older Opels of any body style were rather crude but this could be a fun car for the price. The first fun would be the wiring and plumbing. I don't think I would put any money into it's looks. It would be more fun as a rat rod.

Trade?

He would consider a trade.....:confused hmmmm I can't think of anything I would trade;LOL
