I ordered the 3 front spoiler parts for my '95 (and some other stuff) from Ecklers. They told me that the other stuff was in stock, but the spoilers were back ordered until 1/24 (about 3 weeks). I told them to go ahead and ship.

Well, got nothing, so I called. The spoilers are now 2/28 and they didn't seem REAL positive about that.

So, I guess I am looking for an Ecklers opinion here. Good to their word, or should I cancel and order someplace else.

Thanks, Bob

I would check with gmpartsdirect.com. If they have them, why wait?

Cancel and order for someone else.
Did they have the courtesy to tell you , or did you have to call them??

They did the same thing to me: I ordered seat covers, via their website,, and paid $3.95 extra for same day shipping. A week goes by, nothing.
I call them, "Oh, they are on back order".
I ask them, being I paid for same day delivery, shouldn't you have the courtesy to tell me they are not in stock??
I cancelled the order.

I had the same problem with Ecklers only not only did they not tell me the stuff was B/O'd, they didn't tell me they didn't expect to get any (seat belt assy's for a 97).

They wasted 2 weeks of my time.

Their customer service sucks.

Last month I ordered 6 items from them. They immediatly emailed me with ups shipping numbers for 5 of the items and told me that one item was on back order. The 5 shipped items arrived in a few days, they then notified me that the back ordered item was in stock and being shipped. It arrived 4 days later. No issues at all with their service.

If it was me, I would source them somewhere else ,call them, and cancel the order with Ecklers. Life is too short to mess around with people that don't uphold their end of a business transaction.
With all the parts suppliers out there, Ecklers have the worst reputation from all of the posts that I have read here on CAC.
Maybe they will change their system if the bank account hurts enough.

Wow, I cant believe a parts distributor would be like that. I have gone through Corvette central, and mid america with no problems. Both companies ship fast, and will let you know the real story up front.

If you are interested in how Ecklers has treated fellow CAC members, simply do a search on "Ecklers". I'd put my title down on the results being an overwhelming NEGATIVE. I've seen a number of threads stating multiple issues... then other people chime in with their own too.

I personally have never had an issue with them, but rarely order from them, as I get 90% of my orders from Mid America... ground shipping usually arives from them next day.

I have gotten most of my parts from corvette central no problems at all parts are usually here when they say they are...a few times that CC doesn't carry what I need I've gotten from ecklers but try not to go there because of there rep on CAC!!

Thanks All

Well, from hearing all this, I think I am going to cancel the order and order at Mid-America. I have dealt with them in the past, with good success.

The only complication in cancelling the order is that I placed the original Eckers order using a gift certificate. So, if I cancel the spoilers, I will have to order something else!

Thanks, Bob

I had the same problem with Eckler's with a engine blanket. It took a long time to get it . The only reason I waited was because I had a credit that I needed to use. They have a great catalogue , but something's missing with this organization.

Most of the stuff I can't get locally I usually order from Ecklers, and if I can't find it there I go to the dealership with the papers for the second mortgage I have to take out for dealership prices. I generally like Ecklers and have found them pretty easy to deal with, but Mid America will actually tell you on their site if something is in stock, so I sometimes order from MA and occasionally Corvette Central. If I really need a part, I never trust backordered stuff, I usually cancel the order and find it somewhere else because you could be waiting for weeks no matter what the company says.
