Just installed new weatherstrip on my 74 Coupe. The t-tops are very hard to put back on now. Also the driver side window does not seat properly. Is there some sort of adjustment that will help them fit properly? I've checked the assembly manual and Haynes books but there is not a whole lot of information on adjusting them.

Thanks in advance!:(

The tabs that fit into the T-bar are adjustable with shims you can buy from one of the Corvette catalogs or you can just use small washers like I did. With new weatherstripping, you need to add, not take away, shims. The tabs also can move in and out. Before you change anything, mark the position of the nuts with a fine marker so you can start from scratch if you get lost with all the adjusting. Screwdriver and small wrench. You can also adjust the latch a little. Remove the plastic cover to see how it works. Place tops on something soft or you'll scratch the glass.

You might also want to apply some lubricant. I used Sil Gel and it worked fine. The washers also work great.

Before I'd do any ajustment I would lube rubbers and Run the car over some rough road's and let it sit in hot Sun for a day or two,and then ajust if ness.!:upthumbs junk!!
