T-top weatherstripping woes!

:cry I really goofed!! I'm replacing my weatherstripping on my 81 T-tops and I took off all of the stripping plus the channel that was supposed to stay there! I thought it was part of the stripping! How do I fix this? I hope there is an easy way! I removed the other one the right way (I hope!!) There is still a ridge there! Help, please!

Could you post or place a link to a couple of pictures so we can get an idea what you mean. At least I don't know what you mean with the channel.

It's not really a channel. It looks like raised rubber coming from the piece that was next to the weatherstripping. I will try and send a picture. Not really sure how to yet. This is my first time here!!

No problem I think I have figured it out..
I don't know if I have any pictures when I replaced them but it isn't so difficult. Inside the weatherstrip there is a black plastic "channel". The channel is glued to the glass from your T-top (I think you have glass t-tops?)
Then the weatherstrip. Maybe this helps a little:

On the side were the glass from your door stops against the rubber the rubber is made in "3 sections". The outer section is just hollow rubber and very thin, the middle section is where the glass falls into and lower then the outer two section. The inner section bolts down against the support channel and is higher then the middle section. I think you original rubber was so old that it spit into two pieces, inner and the outer. So you still need to remove the inner piece. But again that is what I suspect and sorry for the difficult description.
