My 62 vette and 67 coupe deville have spiratic bounce issues. I've heard that theres a way to lubricate them to address the bounce. Anybody seen this done?
Thanks,
Jim

There are some specialty lubes that I read about. Check Wilcox Corvette's web site. He may have something posted. I just replaced my speedo cable and used graphite powder that you can buy at the hardware store. I poured it into the cable housing and worked the inner cable back and fourth to spread it out. I made sure not to let it get close to the end that actually attaches to the speed. I did not want the graphite to get into the speed itself. Not sure if this is the offical way to lube but I know others have used graphite powder with success, so that's why I decided to go this route.

Corvette Central sells "Kable-Ease", which is made specifically for lubing tach and speedo cables.
