Tach not working

Started to put the interior back in my 77. Put in the lower left hand dash pad hooked everything up and the Tach does not work.. It worked before I took it apart.Can anyone give me a place to start?

Here is how I'd tackle the issue:

Check the TACH wire on the distributor. If it still doesn't work, try your connections on the tach itself. Unplug the tach and reinstall. Check to see if it is hooked up right. Most of the time, when you take something apart and it doesn't work when you put it back together.... it is the result of bad connection on the reinstall.
