SPRING CLEANING-

I have an original L48 (1980-81) Tach and speedo. These are not the high performance gauges. Both work. I upgraded to correct L82 gauges for my modified 78. Silk screening is perfect. I just wanted a 140 speed and the matching tach! $60 for both.

I also have an alternator, a 63 amp. I upgraded to 105 amp late model. This alternator needs a V belt pulley- currently its fitted with a sepentine pulley. I needed the V belt pulley for the retrofit of the 105 amp. I had a machine shop swap the pulleys so the alternators would both be intact. $10

I also have 89 Corvette Sport Seats. The frames are good, the foam is shot - as well as the covers, the air bladders are good, the pumps are too, the motor works- but the cable is fried, the electrical switches are broken. These make good donorparts or hey-the-dealer-wants-too-much-for-this seats. $25 for both.

I also have rocker moldings. I have sidepipes, so the factory ones aren't needed anymore. One is in excellent condition. The other has a 4x1in area that is a little wavy. It can be fixed with a little TLC. $50 for both.

I also have a Sony stereo. Paid $250 for it new. Its a CD player from another car. Its about 3yrs old, but I used it only for a year. Right now, its in the box again- complete with wiring and instructions. Great for your "other" car. $40

So, these items are for sale. $150 for everything listed, or pick what you want. Buyer pays shipping.

Is the Tachometer still available? I'd be interested in just the tachometer. Did it work alright when it was in the car?

Thanks!

What's the status on your "Stuff" DarkShadow78 ?

Well, none of it has sold- so I still have it inside my house... literally.

The speedo works, I think it could stand a rebuild though. I would rebuild it simply because its never been rebuilt.

The tach is fine- it worked before I pulled it. Its not the L82 tach, its the L48....so it is the one refered to as the "small" gauge. The only reason I replaced my original tach was for the aesthetics of the L82s! I really wanted those gauges (L82) in it from the time I purchased the car 10 years ago.

Now for the funny part- both are sitting on my entertainment center. I guess as some form of decorations. Who would have Corvette gauges in their den? Uhhhh..... me.....

All of my stuff is either in the house or in the garage. I gues that makes me kinda wierd, having car parts in the house. But God bless my wife- because she puts up with that sort of thing- and that is like doing the lords work! So, none of the stuff is dorked up in anyway at all. The seats need to be recovered though! They look they're age. However, the radio is not for sale anymore- its going into my 98 GT that I am selling. See, I have 3 V-8 cars (Corvette, Camaro, GT) right now and I am looking to get an SUV.

Sorry cscarlson

Looks like he already has a use for it. How is your vette running, and are you getting bummed with winter approaching? How long are you able to drive your vette in Utah? (when does winter properly start in Utah?)

Sorry. I missed that the stereo was sold. my vette is running great after the repairs i did after my trip to N.C. and back last year..i have done a car show and am doing a charity car show this saturday. winter here has no offical starting date, it just depends on the snow, it generally gets cold around OCT. 20 and stays cold until April, the last few years we have not had a lot of snow and i could have driven my corvette pretty much all winter.

SOLD!

The Mustang. FYI- the 1998 GT with the modular V8 was a great motor. I NEVER had a problem with that car mechanically significant enough to warrant putting it in the shop. I replaced only 2 calipers in the four years I owned it. Not too bad if you ask me. I also put on 98K in the four years. The Sony CD player went with it.

Back to the stuff- I still have the rocker panels, the alternator, and the seats.
