targa top bracket swap

hey guys, I have an early 86 corvette and I'm looking at a targa top on ebay from a late '86 , i know the brackets are different, but how hard is it to swap the brackets from the one on my car now to the other top, or even to just buy a second set of brackets for an 84-early86 for the new top. any help greatly appreciated, thanks

It is not very hard, takes about an hour or so. The brackets you need to swap are the ones on the car not the ones on the top. You would need to contact a vette salvage yard and find the brackets. good luck, Guy
