Help! Targa Top

The glass on the targa top of my 1989 corvette coup is seperating on the drivers side and the front middle section from its base. When you are driving the glasses raises up and rattles. I really cannot afford a new top. Does the whole top need to be replaced or is there something else we can do. I keep thinking one day while i am driving the glass is going to blow off. Please help with any suggestions you may have. Thank you :confused

You might try a bone yard lid until you can afford the replacement/rebuild.

But . . . the top flying off would make a great video! :L

Do a search on the subject here on CAC. Seems to me someone had this problem not to long ago and there was a thread on it. I think it can be repaired. Maybe GM Junk will chime in I think he has the answer.

I repair them all the time with 3M Windo-Weld Urethane!
It's a Pain in the Wah-Z00 and a Messy job!!
Depending the severity of the problem on procedure as to how I make the repairs!!
