ok i been doing alot of reading and can not find an answer to my question.
if some one got a link please?
but here it is, but first off i got explain what i have done so far this winter to my 91 vette
the mods i have done so far are, tpis afr head, a tpis big mouth, ford 24lb injectors, a accel super ram, tpis headers, guted cat, custom ground cam (solid roller dur@.50 218/224 lift .577/.577 gross), custom burnt chip (done by fast chip), dewitts aluminum rad, comp cams pro mag 1.6rr
there might be more but u get the idea
ok i took the trany out to change the toque converter (b&m hold shot 2400)
i said while its out i mise will rebuild it so i bought a tci rebuild kit and other hd parts for the rebuild
now i am just about at the point for the shift kit
the TCI shift kit that came with the kit is a trans scat
it has 3 levels, street, heavy duty, and street plus (the street plus has 2 levels firm and extra firm)
my question is witch one should i put in the heavy duty (i got that in my truck and it shifts nice) or the street plus (the firm) (not the extra firm i ruled that out)
the reason i ask is cause i dont want to start braking the rear end every time i shift
so i guess really want to know how hard the street plus (the firm) shifts?
thanks in advance

p.s. its a 91 l98, 700r4 with 3.07 rear

This is going to be an opinion type of answer. No one can tell you how hard is too hard for you.

I would go with heavy duty if you plan to drive it alot or do mostly city(stop and go) driving. Going to the street plus may become discomforting after a while.

From your build stats, it sounds like you want it to hit hard, so the plus may be your best option. Make sure you have some good sticky tires or you may find yourself sideways on occasion.

You are concerned about the rear end breaking. If you have the Dana 44 that may not be a problem.

thanks for the replies
i got a dana 36
ya i am sorta concerded about breaking it
i emailed tci's tech support and the answer i got back is
one shifts harder then the other
so i emailed them back giving them **** for a simple no mind answer
i am still in a email arguement with them
dumb idiot telling me there is no such thing as heavy duty and street modes in the shift kit
he went on they only have trans-scat and a shift improver kit
any way
thanks for the replies
i think i will just go with heavy duty
i am at the point in my rebuild where the valve body gota be done
