On an Aerobody Callaway, do you use the standard jacking points (on the Corvette sub frame) or do you use another part of the car?
Looking at the jack points, it looks very close to the bodywork :eek

Thanks in advance for your suggestions :beer

These cars are low, so when ever I have to jack up the car with a floor jack, I have to drive it first on some low ramps I made by using two 2x6's = 4x6 and cutting the front edges at a 45 degree angle, in order to make the drive on easy. Once on the ramps, I place the floor jack under the front crossmember (center) and jack up the car. The floor stands I place under the aluminum A arm, there's a spot where the lower A arm bolts to the cross member that's perfect. When jacking the rear, I place the floor jack under the differential, and place the floor stand under the the rear lower shock mount. Thanks to the car lift, I rarely have to do this anymore.

Yea Chris, you need a 4 poster (or two) then you can get some more callaways in the garage :D

I am definately checking lift models / specs at Carlisle this Aug. Top on my list so far is the "Backyard Buddy" brand.

This weekend though, I just need to jack up one side (or the entire) rear end to "free spin" the wheels and check things out :)

Thanks guys for the replies - Tony, What brand bunkbed is that??? :beer

Chris,it is an Eagle Lift.Going on 10 yrs old with no problems. They are one of the best & pretty reasonable($).If you decide after Carlisle to get an Eagle, talk to me first before you buy,I can save you a couple of bucks.:)

Tony, 10 years IS a Great record!!! (really , for any product) I am undecided at this point on a lift brand but I will make it a point to scour the fields of Carlisle ISO of info. Thanks for the input :m
