temp gauge

Does anyone know if the owners manual shows where the normal running temp is on the gauge should it be at the 12 oclock line thru the 200 or on the 11 oclock on the fat line around town mine runs on the fat line then jumps to the next thin line on the hiway sound normal? thanks for any advice
