Hi All-

I have some numbers, not sure what the normal limits are but think everything here is normal???

Resistance between paired coil terminals(wires removed):
5/8 = 5.7 ohms
4/7 = 5.6 "
1/6 = 5.7 "
2/3 = 5.7 "

Resistance between paired plug ends(plenum not removed)
5/8 = 16.5 ohms
4/7 = 16.1 "
1/6 = 18.4 "
2/3 = 18.7 "

Resistance of each individual plug wire(end to end).
#1 = 7.2 ohms
2 = 6.8 "
3 = 6.3 "
4 = 6.3 "
5 = 5.1 "
6 = 5.5 "
7 = 4.2 "
8 = 5.9 "

Cheapest check of the spark system is to take a spare plug and connect a wire at a time, lay it on the plenum and start the motor. Look at the spark, they should all be pretty close to the same. Concentrate on the ones(s) that have the weak spark.

What you see from your analysis with the VOM is that everything appears to be within range. One or two ohms is nothing to worry about. If you've got a misfire issue, something prior to the spark is the issue.
