Hello All,
In preparation of my overhauled engine and tranny (yes, I still DON'T have these back yet!), I would like to put in a mechanical tach drive distributor. My tach is not connected – so I’m not sure if it even works.
I loosened my dash and was able to just reach the tach and hook up a cable. To test the functionality, I hooked up the other end of the cable to a drill and ran the drill in reverse.... and nothing.... I did snap off the nylon end of the cable.
Did I do something wrong? I am not sure if tachometers become seized. This can become an expensive trial and error process if I keep ruining cables!
Thank you.
