Need recommendations for a 400 tranny and opinions on B&M, TCI, Hughes or other vendors. Engine is a 350, 360HP 400 torque, cam is 224/230 450/460 lift. Rear end gears will be 3.55, will a 2000-2200 converter work. OD transmissions are not an option right now.

That cam is basically an L82 cam and you can use the stock converter with no problems. The 2000-2200 will fine also, but isn't necessary. Happy motoring. Russ

I just took out my 72 with TH400 for it's shakedown cruise after rebuilding everything in it. I used a B&M transkit to overhaul the tranny and set it to street/strip settings. I'm running the 308s' and a 2000 holeshot TC. It shifts much firmer then stock. This is a very good tranny and will work great in your car.
